WORKSHOP SUMMARY

This course will provide an introduction to the technology, data analysis, tools and resources for high-throughput sequencing (HTS) focused on RNA-Seq analysis. The content is intended to provide a broad overview of the subject areas, and to highlight key resources, approaches and methodologies. Topics will be delivered using a mixture of lectures (~20%), practical sessions (~80%) and open discussions. Hands-on practical courses will consist of computational training sessions that will enable the participants to apply statistical methods to the analysis of sequencing data under the guidance of the lecturers and teaching assistants. The workshop will be given in English. Practical sessions will be carried out using on-site computers provided by the ULiège with preinstalled Linux distribution and all tools required for the training sessions (R, bioinformatics tools).
