post-doctoral researcher immune aging |
| Background The candidate will work at BIOMED, an interactive and well equipped Institute (www.biomed.uhasselt.be) of Hasselt University, focusing on fundamental and applied research in immunology, neurosciences and cardiology. In BIOMED a total of 130 people are employed of which more than 50 are pre and postdoctoral researchers. |
| Job content The candidate will work in frame of the Interreg project "Healthy aging". In this project, BIOMED / Hasselt University is lead partner and will work together with research institutes and SMEs in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine to identify biomarkers for healthy and pathological aging. These markers will then be used for early diagnosis, prevention and suppression of immune aging. BIOMED will focus on autoimmune disease. The candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of the experimental work, take the lead in the scientific interactions with the other consortium partners and help with reporting on the scientific progress. |
